Spicers Tamarind Retreat is a luxury getaway in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It offers a rainforest escape with an Asian twist.
Its accommodation is perfect for a weekend getaway or a family escape. It has six 1 bedroom villas and eight 2 bedroom villas. They come with all the trappings including fireplaces and spas.
Spicers Tamarind boasts a modern Asian restaurant that combines sweet, sour and spicy flavours with delicious local produce.
Guests can also relax at the onsite day spa, Spa Anise. It features double rooms for couples and friends and has a mineralized spa, hydrotherapy treatments and a large menu of relaxation treatments.
Guests can enjoy a selection of activities whilst at the retreat including one hour yoga classes, swimming at the nearby Gardeners
Falls and most popular of all, learning international cuisine at the Tamarind Cooking School.
There are 4-hour classes which are held every Saturday. Or two-hour short courses which are available one Sunday a month.
An expert chef guides students through the process using the freshest local produce, some of which is harvested from the retreat’s very own herb and vegetable garden.
Courses cover Italian, French and Asian cuisine. After the classes are finished, students can enjoy what they’ve made and wine and dine together.
