Media was always on the cards for Chris – he has a journalism degree from the University of Queensland.
But no degree can deliver the kind of unstoppable energy, youthful charisma and lightning-quick humour Chris naturally brings to Queensland Weekender.
Over his years with the show, Chris has travelled the length and breadth of this big, beautiful state. In his own words, ‘there’s barely a rock unturned’ or a corner of Queensland he’s yet to discover.
His passion for Queensland tourism has led Chris to roles as Ambassador for Bareboating in the Whitsundays and Board Director of Southern Queensland Country Tourism.
What’s something people wouldn’t know about you?
“I’m obsessed with cooking shows; I love the smell of a can of tennis balls being opened; and I make an outstanding espresso martini.”
What place or image sums up Queensland for you?
“Sitting on Burleigh Headland in the golden light towards day’s end, watching surfers catch perfectly formed waves with the Gold Coast city skyline framed in the distance – that’s Queensland to me.”
