The Crafted Beer and Cider Festival will be on Saturday 6th October from Noon until 8:30pm at Kurrawa Park at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.
It aims to showcase over 150 craft beers, ciders and ginger beers from the Gold Coast and interstate and will feature over 35 breweries. There will also be live entertainment, food and standup comedy.
A brewery that will have a presence at the festival is Burleigh Brewing Co. It began in 2006 and was a pioneer in the Gold Coast’s craft beer movement. It’s range of beers are creatively named with titles such as ‘My Wife’s Bitter’, ‘Bighead’ and ‘A Bit on the Side’.
Visitors are invited to try the beers at their onsite bar and also go backstage with the brewmaster. The educational tours are ideal for small groups and are led by the Brewmaster, Brennan.
Balter Brewing is another local brewery that will be showcasing its award-winning range at the Crafted Beer and Cider Festival. The brewery was created by surfing royalty; Mick Fanning and Joel Parkinson. It’s open Fridays from 3pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm.
